Goalkeeper training drills

Goalkeepers need their own programme. Set position, handling and footwork are the foundation; angles, crosses and distribution are what get you selected once the basics are secure.

These sessions are structured so you can run them with a single server, and most of the handling and footwork blocks work entirely alone against a wall.

Common questions

How often should a goalkeeper do handling work?
Daily if you can, even for ten minutes. Handling is a touch skill and it degrades quickly without contact with the ball.
What should a young goalkeeper focus on first?
Set position and footwork. Almost every mishandled shot at youth level traces back to being late or off balance rather than to the hands.

KICKPATH turns these drills into a seven-day training and nutrition plan around your position and schedule, and the AI coach adjusts it as you log sessions. Accounts are for players aged 16 and over; parents, guardians and coaches are welcome to use the guidance with the young players they support.
