Adult football training drills
Adult training is a scheduling problem as much as a football one. Two or three sessions a week around work and a match means every block has to earn its place: sharpen technique, keep speed, protect the hamstrings.
Prioritise in this order — availability, speed, position-specific technique, conditioning. That order keeps you on the pitch, which is the only place any of it counts.

Common questions
- How can an adult player improve with limited time?
- Two 30-minute individual sessions a week — one speed and power, one position-specific technical — plus ten minutes of eccentric hamstring and mobility work moves the needle more than extra running.
- Is it too late to improve after 25?
- No. Technique, tactical understanding and conditioning all still improve. What changes is that recovery and load management stop being optional.
